BUNGEE TOWER

 

Center of Gravity’s Bungee Tower is the Highest Indoor Bungee Jump Tower in the World. We’re pretty confident that it is the highest in the Universe too.

 

The Blue Thunder Bungee Tower was built in the West Edmonton Mall World Waterpark in 1990. The site has had several operators in its history. Center of Gravity has run the site since 2005.

 

In 2007 we set the Guinness World Record for the most bungee jumps by one person in 24hrs with 255 jumps. The oldest jumper we have had to date was 87 in 2010 and the youngest was 7 years old in 2008.

 

We have two options for harnessing. You can jump the traditional way, headfirst, attached by your ankles with a waist harness as a back up, or you can jump with a waist and chest harness combination. The second option (jumping by the waist) puts the jumper in a sitting position for the rebounds and allows the jumper to easily perform flips during the jump. When you jump by your ankles you can either jump forwards or backwards. You must leave the tower head first when attached by the ankles.

 

Due to the water depth in the landing zone, we do not allow head first dips into the pool. So, jumpers stay dry when they jump by the ankles. You can get dipped in the water when you jump by the waist. In fact, sometimes we can fully submerge you!! This mainly depends on the jumper’s weight and the style with which they jump from the tower.

 

We have 5 different bungee cords for weight classes. Unless you are trying a Pogo or other difficult jump, we pretty much allow first timers to do any style of jump.
